I know that it supports "unicode encoding" in its last version, but the aim of this is mainly math symbols. So perhaps it does not affect cyrillic. One should think that if TtH was served a TeX-file in utf-8 it would be a piece of cake, since then no character conversion would be need, only text markup conversion (at least so I suppose).
