You sent me LH fonts, but since this is a replacement I may use these instead then?

I will have to use two different screen fonts: one for cyrillic and another for Latin. But this is not a problem as much as I can see. It is simply the (old style) macintosh multilingual method. The swiching between fonts is automatical, follows the keyboard layout I use. I will use the editor I know best, which is Nisus Writer (it has grep/regex and everything, except built in UTF8...)
